So, you love great photos of your kids. Maybe you’ve had a family photoshoot with me, maybe you’ve got one coming up. But how about all the times in between? You still want great photos, right? Well, I’d guess you probably own a camera. Are you confident using it? If not, why not attend one of my Berkhamsted beginners photography courses to learn how to take better photos. Alongside doing family photoshoots in Berkhamsted, I also teach beginners photography courses at www.littleduckling.co.uk.

What is covered in the beginners photography course?
Courses cover the following areas, and are a mixture of theory and putting your new skills into practice:
- Basics of composition
- How your camera works and taking control of your camera to get the photos you want
- Different types of light, and how to use light to improve your photos
- Tips & tricks to get great photos of your kids
I really don’t understand anything about how my camera works, will the beginners photography course be suitable for me?
Yes, it will! Small class sizes mean I work at the level of the people who are on the course. Most people on the beginners photography class in Berkhamsted arrive not knowing what any of the buttons do. We work at your pace, and answer all the questions you might have.
Who else will be on the course?
Most courses have between 3 and 6 people on them, so it’s a nice small group with plenty of opportunity for you to ask questions. Some people on the beginners course have some understanding of what some of the buttons on their camera do, but most people are complete beginners. Most people on a course tend to live in Berkhamsted, Tring, Hemel Hempsted or Chesham, but people also travel from North London, Harpenden and further afield to attend the course.
How much does a photography course cost?
The course costs £99. This includes all course materials, lots of tea, coffee, biscuits. Lunch is included on full day courses.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes, a gift voucher makes a lovely present for anyone who wants to learn how to use their camera to get better photos of their family. Gift vouchers are available at any time of year, including for Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and birthday presents. Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months.
