Adele and Pete choose the stunning Lower Damgate Farm for their late summer wedding. This beautiful venue, nestled in the middle of the Peak District, has stunning views in every direction. Carolyn and her team at Lower Damgate Farm were very welcoming. Including their collection of alpacas, goats and other rescue animals, who helped to make this a truly unique wedding.

The Bride and Groom had hoped for an outdoor ceremony. Due to the heavy rain the previous day, this wasn’t looking likely. However their wedding day dawned bright. Clear skies meant a last minute shift of the ceremony to the picturesque fields adjoining the barn.

A beautiful outdoor ceremony

As wedding guests assembled ready for the ceremony, they were joined by an inquisitive goat. Adele looked incredibly elegant as she walked down the aisle in her stunning Morilee by Madeline Gardener dress. The ceremony was personal and relaxed. It even included ‘Brown Eyed Girl’ played on the ukulele. The newly married couple exited to a shower of confetti from their family and friends.

Not content with being guests at the ceremony, the alpacas were doing their best to earn themselves a share of the wedding breakfast! Pete sprang into action to protect his new wife from the more energetic members of the herd as the new Mr and Mrs shared some food with the herd!

An evening CEILIDH

The terrace at Lower Damage Farm made the perfect setting for drinks and canapés, before Adele and Pete were announced into the barn to start their wedding breakfast. There were laughs and tears aplenty during the Father of the Bride speech. Speeches from the Groom, Bride and Best Woman continued the entertainment, with no shortage of amusing insights. The day was rounded off with a highly energetic ceilidh and party, with the couple surrounded by a great group of family and friends.

I enjoyed every minute of working with these two lovely people. Below are just a few of my absolute favourites from the day. If you would like to arrange a no obligation conversation about your wedding day please send me a message and I will be in touch shortly to discuss your day.
